Ava breathes through her nose as she paces across the floor. The rest of the team watches her silently yet cautiously, in case she hurls a chair into the screen – Bucky leaning back into his chair with crossed arms, Yelena chewing gum with her feet propped on the table, Alexei looking back and forth from Ava and Valentina as though watching a tennis match, and Bob sitting timidly beside Yelena, trying very hard not to look panicked.
She glares at the CIA director through the screen. “He’s been silent for thirty-six hours. Thirty-six.”
“Ava, in case you’ve forgotten,” Val says in a tone as if soothing a child throwing tantrums. “your boyfriend has super soldier serum running through his veins–”
“Oh, does he?” she asks, sarcasm so sharp it could cut the mahogany table. “I have no idea.”

Now Bob could see what Mel meant. Unfortunately, he did have a punchable face.
"Why do you care anyway?"
There was a flicker in Sentry's expression, his smirk faltering for half a second, "I don't."
"No," Bob groaned, seeing through it, "I swear to God, don't tell me-"
"Tell you what?"
"-that you like her too"
Sentry's jaw shifted, his eyes narrowed, "And what if I do?"

It's time for Bob and Mel's movie date (well, not date-date), and Bob's having a little trouble keeping things separate. Between the aftermath of Sentry's highly publicized party and Mel coming to terms with her own feelings, there seems to be a lot riding on tonight.
But like always, Sentry doesn't like to make things easy on anyone.

John Walker is the most popular guy at school, he's captain of the football team, on his way to be prom king and has a beautiful girlfriend. Ava Starr is the new exchange student from Argentina who immediately takes a disliking to him. She keeps to herself, loves music and has an aptitude for science.
They get into more and more force proximity, learning more about each other and opening up in ways that they never have before after being paired together to work on a history project. John learns that there is more to life than football and Ava learns how to let people in and how to trust them.
