Summary
Ten years ago, Remus broke the heart of his best friend. Just before that friend became world-renowned pop icon, Sirius Black. “Could I get a name for the order?” Marlene asked.
“Serious,” the man replied. “Like the star,” he clarified, and Remus mentally scratched out 'Serious' and rewrote 'Sirius' in his head.
“The… star?” Marlene asked, her pen hovering over the cup as she hesitated.
“S-I-R-I-U-S,” Remus said. He stocked croissants into the display case, not looking up. “The Dog Star,” he added, “brightest star in the sky, actually. Visible from both hemispheres.” When he looked over, the man– Sirius– seemed surprised, his eyebrows raised as Remus spoke, and when Remus finished, he blinked a few times before smiling lopsidedly.
“Er– yeah,” he breathed a laugh. “That.” There was a baby on his hip. Somehow, it had taken Remus a second glance to notice that.

Summary
Remus is a PhD student and hobbyist baker who finds himself adrift following his father’s death. Summary
It's lovely up here; all meadows dotted with wildflowers, wind-beaten tracks criss-crossing this way and that through the fields, weaving inland to the pinewoods. The sun's hot on his back as he passes ramshackle stone walls, long since crumbled to piles of ancient rubble and scree, and then the path winds downwards, still following the line of the coast until Sirius finds himself outside an old white cottage, tucked away behind the hill with a rose garden that faces out to the sea.
Sirius moves to Cornwall for the summer and meets a rude, beautiful boy who is writing a book that may or may not be about dragons.

Summary
He remembers when he first heard him, and how he'd been quite unable to do much of anything other than sit there in the stalls in awe as he watched the choir's rehearsal play out, a fourth year pianist accompanying a devastating solo from Remus that had every student and teacher holding their breath. The sheer depth of it; the way it seemed to reverberate through the ancient boards of the very stage itself, from somewhere primal and secret inside him. And how it seemed to take him no effort whatsoever, and how his presence felt no less monumental for it.
A winter term at The Ullswater Institute: late-night rehearsals, dormitory karaoke, and secrets, kept in the labyrinthine corridors underneath the cavernous, frescoed auditorium.

Summary
Sirius Black loves Remus Lupin. Remus Lupin loves Sirius Black. Neither of them know. Both are idiots.
Every Valentine's day the single Marauders go on the pull to find someone to go home with; only, for the last 2 of those years, things have changed for Sirius, and he's found himself more and more drawn to his bestie and flatmate, Remus. It's confusing and probably unrequited and any hope he has that it isn't is thwarted on the the big v day when Sirius is passed over on the pull for a stranger.
So he, Mary and Peter agree to go on 1 date a week for the next year to improve their exposure to the dating scene and hopefully pair up before the next Valentines Day, but the dating world is cut throat and miserable. Sirius burns out quickly, but lucky for him, he has his erstwhile best mate to come home to to unpack the fuckery of modern dating.
Never mind that he's also the love of his life. That's definitely not going to come into the story at all. Right?
