Summary
Nahyuta feels fine. His newfound behaviour isn't a problem for anyone until Apollo decides to make it his problem.
He should’ve expected his younger brother to act in such a way after being mentored by Phoenix Wright, who had come to Khura’in and immediately started sticking his nose in all of their business. (Not that he didn’t aid their effort in the revolution, but still. There was a certain decorum Nahyuta expected of tourists that Phoenix Wright had none of).
"Stop ignoring me," Apollo tells him. "There's something wrong, Nahyuta, and I won't just sit and watch as you get even worse. I can't."
“If you can’t watch, then just let it go.” Nahyuta steels himself over, hardening his brow. “And move on.”

Summary
“There’s no need to concern yourself with formalities,” Amara tells him.
“But you’re the… Queen? Queen Regent? Former Queen? And, uh…”
“Dhurke was Prince Consort for a good few years, and I seem to remember you calling him much worse."
She and Datz used to be fairly good friends, back before everything spiralled into chaos. They used to hang around the palace grounds together with Dhurke, or out and about in the market, or in the slowly-flourishing Sahdmadhi Law Offices with its bare-bones interior and dusty walls. Things had been so much simpler back then. It’s strange, the things that a twenty-year disappearance and a faked assassination can do to a friendship.
or: datz and amara talk things out.

Summary
Matsukawa hums thoughtfully. “You know, I’m probably not the best person to give advice about relationships, but I’m sure your man’s going to be just fine. Scary-looking as you are, Iwaizumi, I get the feeling that you’re a pretty good husband.”
Iwaizumi isn’t sure what that’s supposed to mean, but it sounds like a compliment. “Um. Thanks?”
Matsukawa’s lips stretch into a thin, but not insincere smile. “You’re welcome. Look, you trust this guy of yours, right?”
The answer comes easily. “I trust him with my life.”
“See? There you go—”
But Iwaizumi isn’t done, and he continues, talking over Matsukawa. “Just not with his own.”
Doctor Iwaizumi Hajime's life has been going so well, it only makes sense that there'd be complications to follow. If only his husband would tell him what those complications are, he'd be able to fix things.

Summary
Iwaizumi’s left his cell phone on the bench, and while Suga keeps his gaze away from Iwaizumi the phone lights up with a new message.
Iwa-chan, it reads, Have a good day today! Good luck! <3 <3 <3
Suga chokes. It’s hard to imagine anyone calling the scowling and fierce Doctor Iwaizumi “Iwa-chan.” But marriage probably comes with all sorts of liberties.
Mrs. Iwaizumi must be quite the doting wife, Suga thinks. Delivering hand-made bentos and sending along loving messages.
No one really knows much about the new surgical resident, Doctor Iwaizumi, other than the fact that he's married. Suga's determined to find out more, and make a friend of him in the process.

Summary
“Hey, you know how band-aids were invented?” Reki asks, smoothing the bandage down and Langa wonders if he can feel how flushed and hot his face is, if he knows.
Langa shakes his head.
“Some old dude made ‘em for his wife,” Reki continues “Guess she was super clumsy in the kitchen - like you - so she cut herself a bunch.”
“I’m not clumsy,” Langa says petulantly.
Reki levels him with a look, then. “Yeah? Then what’re we calling that time you tripped over the curb and ran face-first into a telephone pole? Interpretive dance?”
Langa frowns. He’d tripped over that curb because Reki was talking about a new idea for a deck, something about painting the surface and then cutting designs into the grip tape so you could see the colors shine through and Langa was focused on the way Reki’s scratched and bandaged hands were flitting about as he spoke, alive like the butterflies surging in Langa’s stomach and he hadn’t seen the curb until it was too late because his eyes were too full of Reki to notice anything else.
Maybe he’s not managing this as well as he thought.Bookmarked by starshapedcarabiner
