Summary
William de Worde was not a romantic by nature, in either sense of the word.
Sprawling, verdant grasslands blanketed with daisies, enclosed by majestic pines, standing tall against the barrage of time, while a brook babbled softly in the background, did about as much for him revelation-wise as a half-eaten day-old curry from the Klatchian takeaway next door. He also wasn't one for dating.
Which was why Sacharissa’s insistence on the Times promoting the new fad of a holiday based entirely around mushy feelings and romantic gestures came much to his dismay.
(William, Sacharissa and Otto interview Ankh-Morpork’s couples about their relationships, and try their very hardest not to think about their own.)

Summary
Sasha's first thought upon seeing Joe was an overwhelming happiness that surged up through his digital body, toe to head. That remained his only thought for about 5 minutes, as far as time could be measured in the simulation.
Joe’s face fell and Sasha suddenly had a second thought.
(Note: I'm on mobile so can't do my own tags, but this is an implied/pre-relationship Joe/Sasha fic)

Summary
“Are you okay?”
There were a lot of things William wanted to say. Some variation on “Oh just peachy, can't you tell?” was tempting, as was “Never better.”
Instead he said, “No.”
(Five times William de Worde woke up alone, and one time he didn't.)

Summary
Ralph let his head drop down to rest against Piggy, who started, then tentatively wrapped an arm around Ralph.
They stayed like that for a few seconds, before Piggy spoke up, free hand fiddling with the frayed edge of his blanket.
“Are we gonna… you know, talk about this?”
Ralph didn't respond, so Piggy sighed.
“S’pose that's a no, then.”
(Ralph and Piggy leave the island, and don't know how to talk to each other)

Summary
It made sense that Sam’n’Eric shared a bed. They were practically the same person, after all.
Going by that logic, if you really think about it, it made perfect sense for Ralph and Piggy to share a bed, too. There were only two, so where else could either of them sleep?
They were hardly even beds, Ralph thought. More piles of leaves. So either way, it didn't count.
(Ralph tries his hardest not to have a crisis while sleeping next to Piggy)
