“I rate this one out of five stars,” murmurs Seungmin. “Awful plot… Your writing is subpar at best? What does that mean?”
Seated opposite of him, Jisung noisily sips on his coffee. “It means what it says on the tin. You have a hater,” he announces.
“I spent two weeks writing that,” retorts Seungmin. “I had it beta-read, too. How dare leebitmyass1998 leave such a terrible comment underneath my hard work?”
Jisung shrugs. “Well, maybe he doesn’t hate your writing. Maybe he’s just a Bbokchan hater.”
Or the one where Seungmin, a proud fan of his all-time favourite game, navigates the highs and lows of writing fanfiction.

“Do you remember two weeks ago when I bought you coffee twice in a row instead of alternating like usual and you said you owed me?” Seungmin asks without any sort of preface. Minho blinks at him uncomprehendingly. “I’m here to cash in the favour now.”
“You interrupted my rest time at ass o’clock in the middle of the week to come ask for a coffee I owe you?”
Seungmin shakes his head. “No. I need you to pretend to date me.”
Minho blinks at him again, then shuts the door in his face.After confessing and getting rejected by his best friend, Seungmin comes up with an elaborate plan to save face that involves fake dating Minho in order to prove that he's moving on. There's no chance of feelings from either side, since they're both already caught up in their unrequited ones - right?

Summary
"That's the whole point of magic," Seungmin grumbles, fingers wrapped tightly around the straps of his guitar case.
"What?" Minho asks with a tilt of his head, "Making the other person look like a fool?"
"Isn't it?" Seungmin raises a challenging eyebrow.
"Seungmin, honestly," Minho dramatizes a disappointed sigh, and he pairs it with a light shake of his head, "Yee of little faith. Is that what you think of magic?"
"Magic isn't real."
Or: Seungmin kind of declares the annoying magician that has started to show up at the art building pulling coins out of Seungmin's ears and telling him to clean them better (his hygiene is perfect as it is, thank you very much) as his enemy at first sight.
Minho thinks the guy that always walks with a guitar case on his back and frowns at his card tricks might just be the cutest person he's ever seen.
