Summary
For here he was, standing in front of the gate of his homeplace, but it was not the home he yearned for.
“I thought you two were going to be forever,” was Megumi’s sheltered admission whispered close to his heart, beating itself bloody against the cage of Suguru’s ribs as the boy’s words unfolded a distant memory in the present, a pilgrim from the past wandering through the oceans of time to remind him of its buried existence.
“Because lovers are travellers of eternity,” he had reassured Megumi once, the child half asleep on his chest after a nightmare, soothing murmurs of the tale Suguru had told to console him lingering in the quiet night.
“I am sorry we let you down,” he uttered in the boy’s hair as the memory dissolved in the burdened air, leaving him with a decayed taste of hypocrisy in his mouth.
[Or: a break up of his parental figures leaves a 15-year-old Megumi questioning his place in their lives.]

There are dents in the walls and broken chairs on the floor, the bookcase has been toppled over and the wood of the shelves is chipped. The light that's normally hanging from the ceiling has fallen and shattered
and, worst of all, he can't sense his husband or children here

The Gojo clan finds out about how Satoru is married with four kids and isn't happy about it. To get him to give them up and rejoin the clan's ranks, they devise a plan to make his family disappear, taking them away while Satoru is not home. Satoru loses his shit.
