On Diluc's 18th birthday, Kaeya is kidnapped by the fatui. Heartbroken by his brother missing, Diluc, Crepus and the knights are doing everything they can to bring him home.
Meanwhile, Kaeya wakes up in Zapolyarny Palace, and is invited by his uncle, Pierro, to join their ranks. There, Kaeya meets the Fatui's bloodthirsty yet also family loving eleventh Harbinger who goes by the name "Ajax"

And besides, how often does Childe get someone like Kaeya handed to him on a platter?
“I am now,” Childe ventures, quiet in the dim like admitting he wants this might make something shatter.
Kaeya considers him, his pupil blown wide in the dark. “Then let’s go.”
