On Diluc's 18th birthday, Kaeya is kidnapped by the fatui. Heartbroken by his brother missing, Diluc, Crepus and the knights are doing everything they can to bring him home.

Summary
After tracking the Abyss Order to a mysterious domain, Kaeya is found wandering in a trance at the Winery's doorstep with no memory of the night's events. Now it is up to the Knights of Favonius and a certain vigilante to unravel the events of his mission, while also attempting to stop a strange, cryo wielding mitachurl that has begun reaping havoc each night.
Amongst it all, Diluc can't help but notice that something is not quite right with the Cavalry Captain, and he is determined to get to the heart of this mystery.

A inebriated Kaeya hopelessly fumbles with the bedsheets, his chest on full display to Diluc. Scars paint the undersides of his pecs and—Oh. Oh, Archons. Diluc stumbles a little, wobbly.
He’s going to be sick.
Violent burn scars tear into the flesh of Kaeya’s shoulder and a large portion of his collarbone. The skin is rippled, uneven edges to the red scars. There’s a large, thick scar that looks as if it were from a sword. A large one. Diluc’s sword--his claymore.
Diluc wishes he could be anywhere but here now.
He did that.
He caused that.

Getting caught up in the middle of one of Albedo's failed experiments was definitely not on Kaeya's Windblume to-do list. And yet here he is. Caught in the crossfire of one of Albedo's failed experiments. Go figure.
Alternatively: Kaeya is isekai'd into an alternate timeline where he has been dead for five years. Alternate timeline Diluc is...distraught, to say the very least.
