Summary
Wriothesley asks a question and throws a party.
The Chief Justice’s normally neutral expression has shattered, astonishment and anguish taking its place. When Neuvillette all but collapses into his desk chair, Wriothesley freezes in panic. The Iudex closes his eyes and whispers almost too quietly for him to hear, “You were so young when they claimed you…”
“I was,” Wriothesley agrees, words slowed with caution and bewilderment. He shakes himself from his stupor and slowly approaches Neuvillette, dropping to a knee beside his chair. He wants to reach out, but his hand hesitates just before making contact. It hovers in the air above the Iudex’s knee, but goes no further.

Summary
Wriothesley and Neuvillette meet again for the first time in over a decade.
“The Oratrice Mechanique d’Analyse Cardinale and I have never differed in our judgments, but that does not mean I cannot feel conflicted.” The Iudex glances over his shoulder to meet his eyes. “I am not a machine, Your Grace.”
How was I to know? Wriothesley wants to ask. You’ve presided over us nearly as long as the Oratrice. You don’t laugh, you don’t cry, you raise your voice only to be heard over the din of us squabbling humans. “That’s unfortunate,” he says instead, rising to his feet and making his way over to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Chief Justice, “My pet theory was that you’re a part of the Oratrice that got cut off and functions independently of the main body—you know, like a worm? Guess I was wrong.”

Summary
What would it be like to tell Cyno that Tighnari keeps his love of him nestled between his lungs, close to the soft and bloody tissue of his heart, and feels it grow in his body like a benign, lovely tumor with each meeting and parting?
It would certainly be humiliating to verbalize, to say nothing of the physiologically flawed metaphor. Better not risk it.
Tighnari & Cyno through the years.

Summary
Kaveh’s newest acquaintance, an Amurta student by the name of Tighnari, once witnessed a relatively tame argument over the precise angle of one line in an ancient Enkanomiyan rune. After Al-Haitham left with a roll of his eyes and curt wave of his hand, Tighnari took a long look at Kaveh’s narrowed eyes, slight breathlessness, and flushed cheeks and said, Get well soon.
There is no getting well. There is only this: grappling in the sand like little boys, laughing and pretending to not be laughing.

Summary
“I see and know everything whether I want to or not, because the universe hates me,” Grima explains. “Okay, so you two are finally getting married, thank the gods. That’s me! I’m a god. You’re welcome. So what kind of theme do you want to go for? And where are you going to live? Plegia’s pretty nice once you get used to the sand, the sand, and also the sand. Obviously I won’t complain about the occasional vacation to Ylisstol, since your... mountain vistas... aren’t half bad. Are you listening? Are you alive? Did I just break you?”
“I’m listening,” Chrom says weakly, his poor little brain struggling to keep up.
In which Grima is born into an existential crisis, accidentally nudges history the wrong way, and tries to make do in a world that is objectively more chaotic than he is.

Summary
Ryuunosuke presses his eyes closed and thinks of the dry, stagnant room of the ship cabin, after Kazuma died all those months ago.
His world had been torn raw and reset, shrunk to that tiny room, with one bed, a wardrobe, and nothing else.

Summary
Everything about the situation is wrong, from the suitcase in Apollo’s arms to the blaring of car horns from the cars waiting behind him. It doesn’t matter. “I have been thinking-” he starts, voice faltering. It is very unlike him to be at such a loss for words, but he has never found himself in a situation quite like this before. “Ach, wondering, really-”
Apollo raises his brow, glancing at the digital clock on the dash and back into Klavier’s eyes in quick succession. “Klavier, my flight-”“-Marry me?” The words come out in a rushed and poorly articulated interruption. Apollo blinks, his mouth falling slightly open in surprise. “When you come back, ja? Marry me.”

Summary
“It’s a measure of one’s self, Mr Zhongli.” Childe says. “Maybe you don’t understand it since you work as a consultant, but as an ambassador from the Tsaritsa, as one who fights in her name— this is how I learn to know the measure of myself.”“I understand,” Zhongli says thoughtfully. “It is a warrior’s way, to test one’s strength against the incomparable. To find where one falls short. To find where one has risen to the challenge.”
In which Childe has insomnia, vandalizes public property and runs into a mysterious funeral consultant on his first night in Liyue.Mandarin translation by Echloess ♥

Summary
Byleth’s memories before the events of Imperial Year 1180 are vague at best and nonexistent at worse, but he does remember a few things. Once, when he was younger, he had been curious enough to poke around in Father’s things while he wasn’t looking; when Father suddenly called and asked what he was holding, Byleth replied, “A knife,” and then ran off before Father could grab it from him. He has no recollection of what happened after that, only that it probably hadn’t ended well for anyone involved.
He’s reminded of this now as he holds the training lance behind him, backed up against the wall as he is. “I am not letting you train our child in the lance, for the love of—”
Byleth, Jeritza, and life after the war.
