Underpaid, overworked, and consistently stimulated. As an Investigating Officer for the Seoul's branch office's Bridging Gateway Department, Donghyuck has only one thought running in his head - to go home soon. However, an investigation into a missing couple ("Ex-couple!" A voice annoyingly like Johnnys quips in the back of Donghyucks head.), paired with the traces of a lingering scent impossibly following the couple's best friends in Shang Hai, and a recent cold case with similar bypassing facts in Kyoto Prefecture - it's clear as day that Donghyuck will not be clocking out on time tonight either.
It begins to worry Donghyuck a little though, when he realises that the scents pattern is distinctly similar to that of a Living friend he had made in passing a few months ago.

I can give you his name, but you’re a load of insanity if you think I’d-” Donghyuck is cut off by Marks unwavering voice which has lowered slightly, dominance overflowing his being and coldness shrouding his tone.
“I order you to come with me, or you’ll be charged on one account of negligence towards your country due to failure to aiding the royalty. You’re aware of what the sole punishment is once that reason falls upon the judge’s ears, don’t you?” Mark says firmly, and Donghyucks eyes go wide at the threat.
“Execution.” Donghyuck whispers, a tremor to his voice.
Being a thief is a way to survive for the poorest, and to Donghyuck, it is the only way to survive, to fund for a family of four's stomachs and educations. Never in his life though, that he would imagine he would have stolen and sold the family heirloom of the hidden prince of his country, much less be forced into either helping him find the ring again or to be executed.

Donghyuck learns that in ancient Greece, throwing apples is a symbol of love to the person, and Mark Lee, the prince who just arrived from Canada to study in Korea, is the first and only person he throws apples to since the first day they met.
The problem lies with the fact Donghyuck never tells Mark what it's for, and Mark never bothers with the details of history.
