When Mydei finally emerges from the Sea of Souls after nine harsh winters, the most precious thing in the world to him isn’t his name, his body or his life. But two words he can’t remember the origin of: Aedes Elysiae.
As the years pass in exile, he finds himself plagued by knowledge that comes from the same maybe-past or maybe-future that wasn’t quite Mydei’s and yet was.
It took four years for him to stumble across Aedes Elysiae, a boy that calls the place home, and why those words were engraved upon his soul.

Summary
Of all the stories he’s read, Phainon would’ve never chosen to reincarnate into this one. It’s a messy world, not because of complex political schemes or endless, cruel wars, but because the lore is all over the place. Even the wiki has partially given up on certain plot points– and that certainly says something.
Oh, and also because there is a character who shares his name, and it’s a character deeply loathed by the fanbase, Phainon included.
Unfortunately, whoever plopped him down in this story hasn’t heard his misgivings, and so, here he is: the fake hero of Amphoreus, Phainon of Aedes Elysiae.

Summary
Amphoreus is saved, everything turned out ok, the Trailblazer and Cyrene used their book to bring all the people they have met and the whole world back to life and into the star system. Everything is great.
Ok, so some people were brought back from different time frames, and are a little behind modern times. That's ok, everything is ok, they are all back and everything can be worked through.
Audata is just glad her son is alive, sure she is grappling with the fact that he was just thirteen the last time she saw him. That's ok. What is not ok is the letter she received from her son mentioning he was bringing a guest to visit. This would be something she would be ok with, too. Except for Cyrene dropping the Dark Tide bomb of her son being married, something he conveniently forgot to mention in his letter. Oh and that his husband happens to be the Crown Prince of Castrum Kremnos. That is also something she would have liked to know too.

After the revival of Amphoreus, Krateros tasks Phainon with one last and simple mission: to return Gorgo’s signet ring to Mydei a second time. Phainon accepts and meets with Mydei again for the first time since the end of the flame-chase journey.

Summary
Three years is a lot of time yet none at all. It should have been enough to cast away the remnants of love and lust and all that lies between, but the embers have only simmered quietly, unnoticed, waiting to become a roaring flame once more. Flames that only grow in intensity whenever he’s around Phainon—flames so fervid that they threaten to burn Mydei up along with it. Flames that are so familiar and comforting that he wants nothing more than to be devoured by that all-consuming heat.
