Summary
The months following Allison's death have passed Stiles by in a haze of monotony. He sleepwalks through days that seem to lose their color, an unwilling passenger in a body he no longer trusts. Eventually, he thinks, he'll just fade away. He isn't sure anyone would notice. Nick blinks at the string of messages lighting up his screen and tilts his head. Why would someone bother signing a text if they suspected it was from a wrong number? And...were the last two texts really necessary? Surely just saying that it was a wrong number was enough? He’s not a serial killer or anything, but he could be.
He’s not sure why he replies, but he finds himself typing out a sarcastic response before he can stop himself:
