Summary
There are plenty of warnings people share about the ocean. More mundane concerns speak of the dangerous riptides, freezing water, and rocks that threaten to dash apart ship and body alike. Other, more esoteric warnings are of the sirens that are rumored to live beneath the waves, waiting with voices and sharp gazes to steal away any who venture beyond the relative safety of the cliffs above the beach.
But the low tide today brings with it the opportunity to see things that the water normally hides, and despite the warnings, Lewis can't help but be intrigued. So he sets off for a short expedition, to see what lies beyond the tide line.

It's getting cold, and Lewis isn't looking forward to winter. Oh, the snow isn't a problem, the quiet and blank-white way the whole world gets isn't a problem. No, it's being alone for months. Out here on a rarely-used road, he sees plenty of people stop by in the spring and summer, on their way to one place or another and needing a place to stay the night, but in winter nobody's traveling, and so nobody comes by.
He'll get by. He always does. But with visitors so rare...

Vivi and Arthur have places to be, in theory. But who could blame them for stopping? The house was so large and inviting, and their horses were getting tired, and it was dark and getting colder by the second. They just need to stay the night, if the owner of this manor won't mind, and it seems he doesn't.

Summary
When Lewis finally- finally- returns to the group, after years of chasing, and violence, and death threats- he’s expecting resistance. From Arthur of all people, the one he hunted and tried to kill over and over again, he’s expecting fear, hatred, anger. It’s what he deserves, isn’t it?
Instead, he’s received with open arms, like his returning friend instead of a reformed wraith. He can’t shake the feeling that this isn’t right. Of all the things he deserves, love isn’t one of them.
He wishes Arthur would acknowledge that.

Summary
Lewis is put on the spot and you really can’t blame him for what he’s saying. He was right to do what he did, anyway, no matter how much his stupid noisy misplaced feelings want to tell him otherwise. He just needs to figure out how to convince everyone else of that, and in the meantime, maybe he’ll have to stretch the truth a little.
Something terrible has happened, but at least Vivi got one of her friends back in the bargain. She just hopes that’s a gift and not a trade. And that having him here is something to be glad about, and not another problem he’s not telling her about.

Summary
Years ago, a warrior came to a bright, sunny, bone-white forest, troubled by tales of lost souls and sharp teeth and twisting, hungry branches. She came to slay the monster within. The story is told that in defeating it, she gained its allyship, and the two began their life together by burning the forest to the ground, that no trace of the monster's evil deeds might remain.
Years later, something living in a dark cavern attracts the unfortunate attention of a much different monster.

Summary
The Mystery Skulls Paranormal Investigators are devoted to aiding spirits, and that means helping. Not just forcing them to move on. It’s one of their strongest convictions, outranked only by “leave no one behind,” and what they’re most well known for. Both ghosts and those they haunt often seek out them specifically, hoping for a less violent solution to the maybe-not-really-a-problem-at-all of sharing your home with a specter.
After his death, Lewis leverages this reputation to return to his friends, albeit in a… slightly different form. As long as he keeps pretending to be an unfamiliar ghost, and nobody figures out who he really is, he can continue to watch over them from beyond the grave.
