Movie Lex and Smallville Lex swap places after the events of Superman 2025.
The man laughed. “The name’s Clark. Clark Kent. How about yours?”
Immediate alarm bells rang in Lex’s head. Clark Kent? The reporter? He was extremely familiar with him, having looked into him for Superman annihilating reasons. He looked nothing like this man- the only similarities being their hulking size and prominent dimples. From Lex’s research, the Kent he knew lives in Metropolis. His eyes narrowed slightly. He didn’t know he was Lex Luthor.

Summary
Their eyes meet. Superman appraises him silently. Tracks the emaciated planes of his face down to the sharp jut of his collarbones from under the neck of his shirt. Lex doesn’t let himself wish for a door to close, for a curtain to drop, for a blanket to pull over his head. He feels like a child. Terrified and sick about it.
“It’s Wednesday,” Superman says, voice low. Gentle, almost, as if Lex is some sort of stray animal, tense and shaking, primed to bite. Demeaning.
Lex is not shaking. He holds his breath for a moment, wills the rhythm of his lungs to slow. He concentrates the fear into disgust, into a single heated beam of hatred. There are protections in place. Contracts, laws. Lex is government property. Superman won’t — he won’t.
Nobody will touch Lex Luthor.

Summary
After being released from prison, Lex makes a deal with a Kryptonian devil: he’ll bail out the Daily Planet to keep it from going bankrupt and, in exchange, Superman will pretend to date him to help restore Lex’s public image. It’s only a mutually beneficial arrangement, of course - it’s not like Superman and Lex Luthor could ever be attracted to each other. Right?
