Beomgyu watched Soobin pull a list out of his pocket, an impending sense of doom making the hairs stand up on the back of his neck. He did not like the look of Yeonjun’s smile right now.
“This is Top Ten Beomgyu Simping Fails, by me and Yeonjun hyung,” Soobin announced to the room. “Ranked in order of least to most embarrassing.”
Kai’s laugh was so high and loud that it felt like it was shattering Beomgyu’s eardrums, but he could hardly hear it. It was as though his brain had simply stopped processing anything beyond when the words “Beomgyu Simping Fails” left Soobin’s mouth.
“Simping? For who?”

“Yes, sir,” Beomgyu replied, cognizant of the fact that both Lea and Bahiyyih were watching him carefully. He’d only interacted with them a handful of times each.
“And?”
“Um… He’s a pretty good lay, if that’s the intel you wanted,” Beomgyu said slowly.
There was a long, cold silence. Kai was frowning deeply, and Lea’s eyebrows were somewhere near her hairline. Bahiyyih had stopped twirling the pen and was now sitting there with her mouth open.
“A good lay?” Kai repeated.
“Yeah. That’s what you wanted me to do, right? When you said ‘I want that twink obliterated’…?”
