    Summary

    Undercover Mission Status: Compromised.

Obi-Wan Kenobi descends into Coruscant’s seediest sabacc den dressed like a morally flexible freelancer, ready to extract intel and maintain emotional distance. Unfortunately, he did not account for one extremely shirtless Anakin Skywalker, who is lounging like a temptress, speaking fluent Huttese, and absolutely vibing. What follows is a high-stakes game of sabacc, repressed emotions, suspiciously intimate banter, and the Jedi equivalent of "we don’t know each other" roleplay—badly executed.

Obi-Wan wins a hand. He does not win the war.

    Summary

“Were you in love with Darth Sidious?”

Anakin recoils, disgusted. “Are you insane? I am married!”

The ghost stares back, unimpressed. “Yet you followed him to Exegol. To forge a Sith Dyad, no less.”

“He promised control over time - over death itself! Weren’t you the one who created the ritual?”

“I was not.” Darth Plagueis says coldly. “Be thankful the ritual killed Sidious - and not your precious Kenobi.”

    Anakin pales.

Palpatine takes his new apprentice to the Sith homeworld before Order 66, seeking to bind them in a Force Dyad. Surprisingly, the ritual backfires, killing Palpatine and stripping Anakin of his Force abilities. Stranded on Exegol, he lies to the Jedi Council about his Fall, beginning an unlikely exchange of letters with Obi-Wan.

    Summary

Obi-Wan opens the door and there he is. Anakin. Like no time has passed at all. Anakin could have just come back from a training session with Ahsoka, here to ask if Obi-Wan wants to join him for dinner in the refectory. But then Obi-Wan takes in Anakin’s set of civilian clothes, his brown jacket and dark blue tunic, the tight-fitting brown pants with multiple sets of pockets along his thighs, and thick-soled boots. No, things aren’t so familiar after all.

    --

Anakin left. The war was over. Palpatine was dead. And so he left in order to be a husband to his wife and a father to his children. Obi-Wan has had four years to come to terms with that fact. To heal from the war and move on as a good Jedi should. But when they run into each other by pure coincidence, is it any wonder neither of them can let go?

    Summary

“You never could say no to your Master could you, Skyguy? Even when you really wanted to.”
    That name.
    It was no longer his.
    “Anakin Skywalker is dead.”
It was sardonic, the faint hint of a smile that she gave him as she rose from where she’d been sitting. “If you say so.”

Even as a Sith Lord, he could never say no to his beloved former master. Even after all these years.
That was why he agreed to this madness: saving the Jedi. Out of loyalty to Obi-wan. And spite, of course.
It certainly had nothing to do with some pesky craving for redemption.
