Summary
Eddie’s never been a morning person– ignoring the fact that it’s technically the afternoon now– but he thinks the sight of Max cradling El next to a broken skateboard warrants him to pick up the pace a bit. So he sets his mug of coffee down in the grass and takes off at a quick jog, hoping against everything that they won’t be taking anyone to the hospital.
When Eddie makes his way to stand behind Max and take in the scene before him, he thinks maybe they won’t get so lucky.

“I’ve found your dreamboat. Your perfect match, your other half- fits your type to a t. Literally right now, you could walk over and proposition this person to bear your six offspring and sail off into the sunset together in a shitty RV.”
Steve blinks at her bemusedly, and then she points out beyond the pool- where Eddie Munson sits in the grass, smiling lazily as El and little Holly Wheeler adorn him in daisy chains, giggling as he bows to each of them, adjusting his flowery crown.
Steve groans, face in his palms.
“Yeah,” he laughs dryly, “if only Eddie was a chick, huh?”

“Okay, time out,” Steve says behind him.
“Hmm?” Eddie asks. He blinks long and slow, his lashes getting tangled, his gaze still caught on the bottle of lube. His eyes feel like cotton.
Steve kisses his shoulder. “You're too high; we should wait a little bit.”
“No, but I- I want-'' he huffs, frustrated, because he’s too stoned to articulate what he wants. It’s all a vague jumble of wanting in his head: wanting to touch and be touched, to be held and loved and fucked. To be consumed. Fondness in its filthiest form.
“Eddie.”
