“Did you get that VIP?”
“VIP?” Shirabu inquires as he walks up to them for his pencil back once Tendou finishes with it. There have been many occurences where Tendou asks to borrow something and returns it two years later, and Shirabu does not want his pencil to go through the pain of being with Tendou for two or more years, thank you very much.
“Very important pencil,” Semi grins, and Shirabu melts.
Shirabu Kenjirou just has a shit ton of coloured mechanical pencils, it’s not his fault if he gives somebody one if they originally asked for grey lead. If you ask, he’ll swear it was an accident.

"What on Earth are you doing?" Semi asked, peering down at Shirabu's notebook.
"Studying? What else could I be doing?" Shirabu grumbled in response. With a highlighter in hand and ready to throw on command, he gave Semi the most menacing glare someone drawing in a brightly coloured notebook could manage.

Summary
In Kenjirou’s world being ordinary is one of the biggest advantages and the one he does not have. His magic Gift is the only thing that kept ruining his parents’ vision of a perfect son, so he does what is in his power to pretend it doesn’t exist.
An unexpected meeting with an old friend introduces Kenjirou to the complete opposite reality.
