Summary
Will could not help the question that burst from his lips, it had been ricocheting around his brain like a stray tennis ball and was simultaneously causing him the most excitement, distress and exhilaration he had felt in his entire life.
“Are you my husband?” he blurted. Mike blinked in surprise.
“What?”
Will lost his nerve slightly. He wondered if he had been horribly wrong about this, and maybe in this strange timeline he was just a friend staying over and maybe he’d made a mistake and the daughter wasn’t really his daughter and—
Will faltered. “Um, I — well, I just thought you were — I mean, you are my husband, right?”
Mike looked very alarmed. He was staring at Will as though he had grown a second head.
“Obviously…?” he said, “Are you feeling alright? Did your mom make you try her D-I-Y coffee again?”
When nineteen-year-old Will Byers wakes up to find himself in his forty-three-year-old body, he must—with no experience whatsoever—play the part of world-renowned freelance painter, father of two very troublesome teenagers, and most strangely of all: Mike Wheeler’s husband.

“Your boyfriend?” she prompted, speaking quite slowly and carefully as though she was talking to a toddler, “You know, the fake boyfriend you use as an excuse every time someone asks you out?”
Will blinked surprisedly, then cracked up laughing, “What?” he said, “Fake boyfriend?” he repeated, grinning, “You do realise — you know my boyfriend isn’t fake, right? I do have a boyfriend. For the past year and a half, actually.”
Will Byers’ boyfriend is something of a myth amongst the residents of RISD. Nobody has met him, he supposedly helped to save Will’s life, and he goes to Brown. Seriously… who is this guy?

Summary
“Do you not want to kiss me because you think it’s gross?” he said, and Mike’s eyes widened.
“What?” he said, “No! Of course not! I don’t — why would you even—“
“Well, I can’t think of any other reason that you’d be opposed, since you had no problem coming in here with Lucas—“
Suddenly, Mike slipped on a loose board and grabbed Will by the waist to steady himself, sending him wobbling backwards until he was pressed bodily against the shelf. The rattling of the pail drowned out his muffled squeak of surprise. Will stared at him, his pupils blown wide. The infinitesimal space between them seemed cavernous.
“Will, I don’t want to kiss you because you’re in a relationship,” said Mike carefully, his breath ghosting over Will’s lips in the dark.
Will has a (useless) boyfriend. Mike takes it as a challenge.

Summary
There was a buzzing sound, and a beep, before the same words sounded again:
“—all me back. I miss hearing your voice. I miss you.”
Another buzz, then again: “—still here… anyway, call me back. I miss hearing your voice. I miss you.”
Joyce realised with a terrible lurch to her heart that Will hadn’t called Mike. He wasn’t finally speaking to him again—it was a cassette tape. A cassette tape of Mike’s voice, a recording from what must’ve been the end of a missed phone call, and he was replaying Mike’s last sentence over and over. I miss hearing your voice. I miss you.
When Joyce first saw Mike at five years old—a sweet, caring little thing, jumping to Will’s aid without a second thought—she’d never thought it would end up like this.
Or; Byler from Joyce’s perspective

Summary
"I wonder why people like it," Mike mused, eyes scanning down the page.
Will glanced over at it. The first column said Drive Her Wild: Pull Her Hair in large red letters. The other columns all contained information of much the same likeness: Make Her Moan: Choke Her, and Get Her Going: Slap Her Ass. Will raised an eyebrow.
"What? Hair pulling?"
"Yeah,” said Mike, glancing over at him. “And the… other stuff."
Will felt his stomach clench nervously. "Why? Do you… do you want to try it?"
Will finds a porn magazine and decides to show it to Mike, who develops a few new ideas on how to make things between them more interesting.

Summary
Mike shifted his hips up as Will tasted him, biting his lip, kissing every part of him he could reach. Will moved from his mouth down to his jaw, nipping at him, leaving marks on his white skin. Mike’s hand came up to grip at his shoulder.
“Do you want me now?” Will murmured against the shell of his ear, “Would you — would you want—“
“Yeah,” Mike breathed, his eyes darkening, “I want you. All the time — I want you — you can,” he broke off, letting out a noise that made Will blush. “You can fuck me, if you want. Fuck me ‘til I can’t walk.”
When Mike came home, he went straight to Will.

“What? No! I mean — I just meant—“ said Mike, struggling with the words, “I… I mean… who is it?” he turned back to Hugo, “Can we know their name? It might be somebody we know already.”
Will frowned, “I hope it’s not,” he said, “I don’t like anybody we know enough to marry them — except our friends, obviously, but that’s different.”
Hugo, if it was even possible, looked somehow immensely more excited by these words, “I can’t tell you who it is,” he giggled, “That’s a really big spoiler.”
Mike Wheeler’s son arrives in Hawkins with no explanation, snapped back in time entirely by accident — and he latches on to none other than Will Byers. If only they all knew why.

Summary
Mike let out a shuddering exhale.
“I… I want you to take me,” he breathed into the darkness, his lips warm on Will’s skin, and Will felt his blood rush south so quickly he had to put his hand down on the mattress to steady himself.
“What?” said Will, his pulse racing. “You — you mean…?”
Mike dropped his head back against the pillow, staring at Will through half-lidded eyes, “If you’re not ready, then I get it,” he said, “We don’t have to if you don’t want to… I just…” he trailed off, “I don’t know. I thought we could try.”
Mike and Will have their first time together, and it’s better than they’d ever anticipated.

Summary
Will stirred sleepily to the sound of voices and a heavy weight beside him.
“Whazup?” he mumbled, lifting his head off the pillow and blinking in the darkness.
“Shhh, it’s fine,” replied Mike’s soft voice, breaking through the stillness that had followed Will’s muffled question, “I’ve got this one. You can go back to sleep.”
Mike and Will take turns staying up with Holly, who has begun to have nightmares about the monsters in Hawkins. Things take a curiously domestic turn.
