“What’s that supposed to mean?”
If they were somewhere else, at some other time, he’d sounded angrier. But nighttime is always different, right. It’s like that weird magic moment at a sleepover when the clock strikes midnight and your friend tells you about their most traumatic experience as if it was grocery.
This night felt like one of those nights. They were all alone in their own little bubble, legs thrown over each other and that quiet loving buzz in the air; so he sounded hurt.

She made a list.
Pro: Any traits a person could hope for in the father of one's offspring are admittedly present in the man who has assisted in creating this one.
