“Well, I had to try, I’ll die at the hands of the Wasteland then whatever fucker Nero is doing deals with now. It’s not like I have much of a future.” You spat. Your tone was venomous and thick with the emotions you were trying to hide. He shrugged, binding your hands with the rope instead of your throat. You couldn’t help but notice how swiftly his hands worked, how big they were in comparison to your own. The words were tumbling out before you had the chance to stop them.
“I’d do anything to not go back.”
He just chuckled as if he didn’t take you seriously, and truthfully, he didn’t. People always said things they didn’t mean in moments of desperation. Instead of giving you any reaction you expected, he tugged your bound hands closer to him until you were face to face.
“Well, shoot, I thought you said I wasn’t your type,” his smile was mean as he made you keep eye contact with him. “Remember what I said, not until you’re begging for it.”
