It was axiomatic that Choi Seungcheol fiercely abhorred him as much as he did, although the other had refused to behave like it, putting up a false front and acting ostentatiously gallant whenever they were in the same room. They were rivals—archnemesis, if you may. And Yoon Jeonghan wanted nothing more but to see the man voluntarily cede his civility and raise his hackles for once. He wanted to egg him further until he exploded in pure, unadulterated resentment and not act like the unsurpassable, self-effacing character that he always was.
In which Yoon Jeonghan, the charismatic, ingenious eldest son of the nation's first ever female prime minister, had gotten himself in dire straits—with Choi Seungcheol, the second in line for the South Korean throne, no less. In their ongoing ploy to make the entire population believe that they were indeed the best of friends, the two had found themselves moving from being mutual antagonists to reluctant friends to...something more.

Summary
Jeonghan has been running for years. He’s had no choice. As he runs from the alien guards set up all around the city ever since the alien invasion of the Jhindie, he enters a home with the most bare minimum of security he’s ever seen and a couch that looks as cozy as a warm, heavenly cloud. Next thing he knows he’s being recruited into an amateur resistance group made to stop the aliens from further killing humans for no reason. Jeonghan has been there, done that. He said he would no longer be a part of that again, at least, with others at his side. There’s not much he can do against the faces of 11 soon 12 other sweet boyish faces, though, and finds himself once again on the offensive lines of the resistance, armed only with his memories, his nightmares, and the secrets he’s buried deep within him.
Ready to live or ready to die? It only takes a tide to decide. Jeonghan isn’t sure which one he wishes for most.

"Just trying to figure out if you won't kill me as soon as we exit the building." His neighbor smirked.
"Change your pants maybe I won't."
"It's my comfort pants, leave the dying guy alone."
"Then no promises." Their faces reflected each other's amused look, it was weird to talk about dying with such happy energy but maybe this is how things will work out. Seungcheol lives, a neighbor will make it memorable, the neighbor will make things less miserable, and he dies.
That's how his story will go.

Seungcheol lives in a world where you get a call as a warning, saying that you'll be met by an untimely death in the next 24 hours. And after that, it's up to you, how you live, how you spend your last moments. Do you try to survive or do you welcome it?
