Profiler (ˈprōˌfīlər; noun): a person who records and analyzes someone’s psychological and behavioral characteristics, to assess or predict their capabilities or to assist in identifying categories of people
Profilers look at a scene and can tell you the personality of the person who committed the crime. They help explain the motivation behind the crime. Most people enter this profession due to the popularity of it in movies and tv shows.
Hope Mikaelson is a profiler but didn’t enter the profession for the same reasons many others did. She became a profiler because of personal motivation. She became a profiler because of Niklaus Mikaelson, often described as “The Great Evil,” known as The Surgeon ー her father.

Summary
It’s finally the real Christmas Day and the students that stayed on campus split up. Teens on one side of the building, younger kids on the other side.
The older ones didn’t really stay huddled together, rather they all split up into their own individual friend groups. Naturally, that meant the Super Squad was together (most of them, anyway).
The Super Squad members that stayed on campus during winter break were MG, Kaleb, Jed, Raf, the twins, and Hope.
But other plans unfold.

Summary

Very little in her nineteen years on this earth have prepared her for the sight of her parents and Elijah to be standing in front of her again.
Her father, his lips upturned in the same way hers do, dimple in his cheek and the familiar blue of his eyes, stands tall in the middle. Elijah, always stoic and proud, is beaming at her from beside him, his suit as pressed and neat as she remembers.

Summary
Josie kicks her foot out and all Hope can do is watch the shine of her spur in the air. She gets another brave feeling in her chest, standing up on her tiptoes.
“Kiss for luck?” She asks, and it’s only meant to be a tease.
But Josie looks as if she’s chewing the thought over, before a determined glint shines in her eyes. Without any further warning, warm lips are connecting with the corner of her mouth, and by the time she recovers, all she sees is the dust kicked up by Josie’s horse as she rides to the arena.
“Well, I’ll be damned,” She whispers, her hand coming up to press against the spot where Josie’s mouth had touched hers.
If she beats the county record in her first try at steer wrestling later that day, no one knows the reason but her and Josie.

“Use this,” Hope offers Josie her pen and turns out that’s her only pen but she’s too late when she realized that because the girl beside her was looking at Hope like she did a heroic thing for her.
“Really?” Josie asks, her eyes wide in disbelief because Hope Mikaelson is talking to her and offering to lend her pen to Josie.
“Yeah, here,” Hope hands it to Josie’s palm and Josie blushed at the contact.
“Oh my god, thank you, Hope! I’m not usually this forgetful, it’s just this morning I thought that I had taken out my pencil case from my locker, but I don’t think that I did it because as you know, it’s not here. So I just need to –“ the girl was rambling uncontrollably.
