“..Sir? Can you hear me?” The guy asks again.
Shiro opens his mouth to respond, but all that comes out is an embarrassingly high-pitched squeak of a sound. The man blinks, and in misery, Shiro watches as a tiny smile twitches up the corner of his mouth. Shiro’s face gets hotter, but it also feels like his heart skips a damned beat.
Oh no, Shiro thinks. I’m in so much trouble.

An underpass gives the slightest respite; he ducks into the shade. Just before he can catch his breath, a car pulls up next to him. The window rolls down and a man calls out.

Shiro, selfishly, thinks that Keith is pretty when he blushes. The warm flush of his cheeks and the sparkle in his eyes, and the way he tries to hide behind his hair if it carries on for too long.
He’s opening his mouth in a greeting, but Matt is at his elbow, already pulling out a seat, and he saves Shiro’s ass by asking the actually important question:
“What are we making fun of Keith for today?”
