Summary
Tim had almost forgotten that Jason was a robin once, that maybe he would know all too well about what it was like living with Bruce.
But it's not the same Bruce, Jason never had to earn his love. He breathed and had his care. Tim was never chosen.
"Maybe this is all I have, Jason! What if this is all that I'm good for!" He stands abruptly, tears pricking the corner of his eyes. He waved his hand toward nothing. "I need to do this. If I fail, if I make a single mistake than what good am I?"
-Or: Tim, focused on a case about Ivy and Scarecrow loses track of himself. Not used to people caring about him, he pushes them away. Hurt rises to the surface, and healing ensues.

The room sits in silence once more, with Jason glaring daggers at Tim while said boy keeps his face in the towel.

A grieved look flashes in his eyes, an anger Damian had never seen before, gone before he could really process it. "You shouldn't have had to, Damian."
