Summary
A talented songstress and sister to many, young Wilhelmina longs to rise above the squalor of the streets despite herself. Thus, when a rather intriguing proposition is presented to her—one in which she will be expected to take up residence with a well-to-do lady and take care of the woman’s toddler daughter's every need—she knows there is little room for hesitation.
