    Summary

It’s a funny story, actually, how Stone ended up working for Robotnik for as long as he has. Most of his predecessors didn’t piece together the whole ‘vampire’ thing until they were on the business end of the Doctor’s fangs, but Robotnik didn’t keep asking for them because he wanted an easy meal. He just needed someone to invite him into buildings, and he kept getting sick of the other ones.

Stone loves his job. He really does.

    Summary

Schizophyllum commune — a white, fan-shaped mushroom with over 23,000 sexual identities. For humans, such variety would make finding a compatible partner nearly impossible, and would almost certainly lead to extinction.
Aban was the human equivalent of that mushroom: a recessive omega, built like a beta, completely infertile, and with no heat cycles unless he met the one compatible recessive alpha out there. Somewhere among seven billion people, that person might exist.

    But it didn’t matter.

Aban had only one goal in life and he would stop at nothing, step over anyone, to achieve it.

    Summary

Suffice to say, Agent Robotnik was one of a kind.
Arrogant? Maybe. A nightmare to the chain of command? Sure. Explosive? Metaphorically and literally. But was he as efficient in bringing in successful results, no matter how difficult the operation? Damn us all: yes. Covert surveillance, influencing groups, strategizing assassinations, stealing intel and weapons, blowing things up! Sometimes he'd end up razing more area than planned, true, but nothing he couldn’t chalk up to collateral damage or lie about in reports. It never compromised the overall success of a mission anyway. A hard-working man was entitled to a little fun, right?
With a CV like that, one might wonder how the hell Walter's idea to stuff him in an isolated lab was supposed to not end up in flames. Even more so when the assignment was to babysit a cryptic roboticist with too many hobbies, one Doctor Aban Stone.

    Summary

Months after the events on the Starfall Islands, Dr. Eggman faces a new kind of chaos: raising his newly embodied daughter, Sage. Realizing that Orbot and Cubot lack the finesse for complex childcare and high-level villainy support, the doctor reluctantly opens applications for a personal assistant.

Expecting incompetence, he's instead intrigued by the final applicant: Aban Stone, a former barista with an impossible IQ and unnerving efficiency.

    Summary

More and more intrigued by the second, Robotnik mirrors the creature, leaning in closer towards the window to be eye level with it. He is a little taller than it is, so he has to bend down a little to address it directly, “What are you?”
“What a strange question.” It tilts its head. Almost birdlike, if not for the way the angle is all wrong, flesh bending in places where there should have been hard bones. It almost distracts Robotnik from the answer: “I am me. Is that not enough?”
Pfff. Either it is dumber than expected, or it has gotten the hang of how to play games. “Hardly,” Robotnik informs it, quite magnanimously in fact. “You are obviously not human, though you’re appearance as one is, dare I say it, flawless so far.”
    “Why, thank you.”

In a bid to find something that manages to hold his interest for longer than a few minutes, Robotnik uncovers a secret project, hidden in the bowels of G.U.N.s oldest base. A thing which’s very existence breaks a human’s mind. Finally, something worthy of Robotnik’s attention!
