He stands first and helps Evie to her feet. Instead of pulling her hand away completely, her fingers catch against his and they stand there together, still loosely entwined.
“What about what you want?” Evie asks.
“Those are the things I want,” Cullen replies.
“Don't you want anything just for yourself?”
His fingers tighten around hers before he lets go entirely. “I suppose. But not anything I would ask the Maker for.”

This is the slow burn love story of Cullen Rutherford and Renna Lavellan, a Dalish mage and old friend of the Inquisitor. He's trapped in the past, and she can't bear to look back. They'll both have to face their pasts before they can build a future.
This takes place during the events of Dragon Age: Inquisition, and features the same Inquisitor as my other fic "Something More".
Tbh, I wrote this entire fic because I had a vision, and that vision was for a Dalish apostate to ride Cullen's templar dick. Unfortunately I am insane, so instead of just writing some one-off smut I spent thirteen chapters building up a slowburn romance before they finally smash. Enjoy, ya freaks!

We're jumping into the story right after Dorian confronts his father in Redcliffe. I'm assuming that readers already have some frame of reference for the main characters and events of Dragon Age Inquisition, because we're not here to explain the actual plot of the game happening in the background. We're here to make the boys kiss.

She stood on shaky legs, having to hold onto the burning wreckage beside her, her mind whirling and body aching, nausea bubbling up from her belly. She caught sight of her patchwork boots, the heel hanging together with a prayer—.
She lurched to a stop, staring downward, blinking twice as her ragtag leather armor remained in place—blurry, yes, but there. Though familiar, its appearance startled her. No, this wasn’t right. She had been wearing Dammon’s leathers, not this ill-fitting set she had stolen off some dead vagabond. She hadn’t worn this since—.
In her head, something writhed.
A scream tore from her throat, loosed into the air, echoing on that ravaged beach, where it had all started.

“Bull?” Cullen sat up, furrows in his brow deepening. A sharpness entered his gaze, the same intelligence and caution she saw before he stepped up to the war table. “The Iron Bull? Whatever for?”
There were few things a woman could be searching out the Iron Bull for at such a salacious hour.
She watched as the implication hit, dread mounting in her chest alongside the sudden jutting of his jaw. “O-Oh.” A vowel strangled, gasped on air from a cleared throat. He shifted, back straightening from its lazy lounge, hands steepling before his torso as he leaned forward. Red dusted his cheeks. “Oh, I see…”
Did he? Oh, Creators. He thought her some trollop.
