"Not going to happen, Barnes," Mr. Stark growls.
And Sergeant Barnes? He growls back.
Peter's suddenly hit with the urge to purr. Fucking purr. Like he's some kind of oversized tabby cat presented with a warm sunny spot. This whole situation — from the weird-ass scent explosion to the sudden urge to rub his face against the metallic chassis of the Iron Man suit — is ten kinds of ridiculous.
Another growl cuts through the air, and instead of inciting more confusion, it makes Peter almost... giddy? He's oddly tickled by the whole thing. Mr. Stark and Sergeant Barnes, growling like they're alphas or something. It's hilarious.
