I guess sometimes it takes an extended period of time to reflect on what you lost to regret you ever let it slip. It may be overdue, but Liam definitely won’t let Sherlock go again—not after 2 years of feeling like a part of him was absent.

With those words out in the open, the two end up in a standstill, and the atmosphere tenses up.
“If you want to be roommates next year, then I’ll go back to studying right now. If you don’t, then I’ll drop it and go to sleep. Tell me what you want, Hirano-san.”
(Alternatively, Kagiura’s question makes Hirano confront his own feelings.)
