“Hi, faen,” Pat greets, voice rough with sleep. Pat makes no effort to move even marginally away from Pran. Completely shameless about the position they have found themselves in; happily indulging in the closeness and comfort of it all.“Who’s your faen?” Pran asks, and it comes out sounding less teasing than intended, almost like a prompt. Pran covers it up with a straight face and a raised eyebrow.

Which of course, meant she was very surprised when she found out that her son Pat was as much a wolf as his great-grandmother.
