    “You know,” Joel said playfully, “If you want, you can practice a dramatic love confession with me. I’ll even rate it. Give notes and criticism.”

    Etho rolled his eyes and snorted. “I’m not gonna practice a love confession with you.”

    “Why not?” Joel hummed, pretending to think about it. “You afraid I’ll be too great of a practice partner? Scared you’ll fall in love for real?” He tilted his head so their lips were just a few inches apart from each other.

    For a few seconds too long, Etho hesitated. His heart was pounding so hard in his chest that Etho
    could swear Joel could hear it.

    “I— I don’t know.” Etho didn’t know how to finish his sentence.

    Joel pulled back slightly, his eyes searching Etho.
    “Do you miss Double Life?” He asked softly.

     

    OR

    On a spur of the moment decision, Etho decides to visit Joel at his base. Joel gives Etho a tour of his base and obsession jokes (or are they?) occur.
