With time the amount of believers started to wane and the heavens felt themselves grow old. One by one they lost their godhood, reentering the circle of reincarnation as normal mortals now.
Hua Cheng can only scoff at those incapable of keeping true to their faith. Maybe it was simply because his gege was so much better than any of those idiots.
So if anyone would want him to explain how he ended up being a reborn ghost in the body of an orphaned 12-year old he would deny everything. No fucking way he would admit he messed up. Not even when that lousy excuse of a person smiled down at him gently, mocking him, and announced he wishes to adopt him.
At least his gege was there to brighten up his day. Even if gege now was- No, he really didn't want to think about it.
