Summary
“Ahoy, mateys!” she called, waving her white cane in the air.
Mike scowled. “What’s got you in a good mood?”
She pulled a little sailor hat from her back pocket, strolled over, and—without asking—stuck it securely onto his head. “The view.”
“You’re blind,” Mike replied.
“I have peripheral vision loss and limited colour perception,” she corrected. “If I really squint, I can still see how stupid you look.”
Mike scowled deeper.

It's 1988, and Mike and Max both, to their chagrin, need summer jobs. Thanks to Robin and Steve's influence, they find themselves at the new and improved (and significantly less Soviet) Scoops Ahoy, but they don't exactly... get along about it. Shenanigans (and unexpectedly heartfelt conversations) ensue.Series

Summary
“Do you really have glasses?” Will asked. He sounded like he was still smiling, and something about it made Mike’s stomach hurt.
“I do,” he mumbled, and Will laughed. “It’s not funny! I’m blind.”
“Of course. It’s not funny.” Will paused. “What do they look like?”
Mike groaned. “None of your business.” He flopped backward onto his bed and stared at the ceiling as they talked. “Hot,” he added after a second.
“We’ll see about that,” Will said, and Mike scowled.
“I’m scowling,” Mike told him.
“I’m sure you are.”

Mike Wheeler gets glasses. Will Byers thinks they're the cutest thing in the world, unfortunately. Mike thinks Will thinking he's cute is... well, it makes him feel some sort of way, but he doesn't know what.
(They're 19 and in college but it's not really college centric. All canon happened EXCEPT Mike's epilogue predictions, because I don't really vibe with seeing them as anything beyond an idea in his head. Fluff with potential brief angst but nothing too dark. + no epilogue boyfriend <3) -

Summary
She takes a sip of the coffee. It’s bad, which is probably because Jonathan made it in a room he’d already hotboxed, so it has a certain je ne sais quois. Well, no. Robin sais quois. It’s Palm Tree Delight. It’s fine. They’ll need her downstairs again soon, she thinks, so she should enjoy the fresh air she has while it lasts.
The front door creaks open and Robin jumps. “Sorry,” says Nancy. Her brows are knit together in the signature Wheeler fashion. Always frowning.
“You’re good,” Robin spills. It’s two words, and they still manage to feel too fast.
“Are you okay?” Nancy asks. “You’re being…”
“Crazy? Hermit-y?” Robin offers.
“Sad.”
"Oh."
-
The gang is in Philly. Robin and Vickie just officially broke up, and Robin is wondering if there’s something wrong with her. Nancy confirms there is absolutely not.

An assortment of one-shots and short fics taking place in the summer of 1988; Scoops Ahoy is back in business, and Mike and Max are its top employees. Lots of summer fun, MadWheeler shenanigans, and bisexual realizations, with a strong background of ElLuMax and Byler.

Summary
“Wow,” Will breathes out, just on this edge of teasing. “You sound very confident about this.”
“Well,” Mike shrugs, swallowing hard in a desperate attempt to soothe his very, very dry mouth, “I don’t know why someone wouldn’t be interested in you.”
“Oh?” Will says, and it’s definitely teasing now, enough for Mike to feel himself turning warm, all down his neck and to the tips of his own – sadly unpatterned – socks. “Someone?”
“Yeah.” Mike nods. Oh, god. This is fine. “In a very arbitrary sense of the word. Just– people. Someone.”
Mike is approximately ninety-eight percent sure that his feelings are requited. That last two percent, however, has really been throwing him for a loop.

Summary
“Wait,” Lucas takes another glance at Will, specifically at the sweater he’s wearing. “Is that Mike’s?”
Here’s the other thing about the last eight or so months of Will Byers’ life: he’s been spending his nights, on and off, secretly, semi-occasionally, very frequently, kissing Mike Wheeler.
He’s confused about it too, don’t even worry.

Summary
“Woah,” Will whispers to himself incredulously, laughing a little under his breath as he shuffles through the pages of the letter again. He can’t help but admire the smooth, off-white stationery, its pleasant weight in his hands. A serious-looking “MJW” watermark adorns the top of each page, totally at odds with the entertaining missive and its author’s garbled cursive. Will laughs quietly to himself again. What sixteen-year-old boy on earth has monogrammed stationery?
Michael J. Wheeler, apparently. Where did Max find this guy?
Mike Wheeler is insecure, even by normal teenage standards. So when his friend, Max, connects him with her old friend from California, he's surprised by how easily they get along. But as the weeks wear on, their letters grow increasingly personal, and they make plans to embark on a week-long trip, Mike can't let go of one inconvenient, anxiety-inducing thought: What if he wants to be more than friends?

Summary
They were so wrapped up in each other, in the gasping movements of their hands and mouths and the supernatural high of the bloodletting, that they didn’t hear the crunch of tires on the gravel. They didn’t hear the gentle click of a key in the lock, or the front door whooshing open. They didn’t hear footfalls on the floorboards.
They didn’t hear anything until Hopper cleared his throat.
