Summary
The world has always felt like it was ending to Kim Namjoon. The scale of a problem has never mattered, every molehill morphing into a mountain, every mountain demanding to be scaled instead of ignored, or moved again, or reduced in size.
If someone had told Kim Namjoon in 2009 that he wouldn’t just lie down and go to sleep at the start of the apocalypse, that he wouldn’t wash his hands with the idea of trying to be of use after he failed out of the Jaeger Academy, he would have laughed. Not to their face - he’d always been a polite kid - but in the hollow, hungry heart of himself? It was hard to imagine what he’d do with success next week. Failure in the future was a rock-slide, a free-fall, a clear point beyond which nothing existed.
But that’s the thing about mountains. If you climb enough of them, you get to be pretty good at it.
(Or: Giant monsters attack the earth. Earth fights back in giant robots. Namjoon and Yoongi accidentally fall in love.)

Yoongi takes a shaky breath. “So you’re, what, a spirit too?”
“No, I’m— wait, I should probably do this properly.” Namjoon smiles ruefully and then straightens from the counter to bow deeply. “My name is Kim Namjoon, and I’m the owner of Halfway Cafe. I’m a witch, and the magic teas really are magic.”
“Right,” Yoongi says, “okay, that’s great, I’m just gonna—” and he collapses into the closest chair.

Summary
All the years they’ve known each other seem to unfold into a terrifying eternity of moments together, knowing smiles, deep talks, loving looks and unconditional company, when Namjoon confesses his feelings. Yoongi's first reaction is to cruelly reject him to protect himself from the fear of his own feelings, although deep down it's those same feelings that he wants so much to deny that assure him that that eternity is what he always dreamed of with Namjoon.
OR
Three times in which, after Namjoon's confession, Yoongi notices the feelings he's always had for him but tries to ignore them, and one when he can't do it anymore and decides to do something about it.
