Denki coughs and fully sits up, looking around. It’s not much better but less bright. He takes in his surroundings becoming even more confused. “Yeah… Why am I in a hospital?”
“Oh. You had a villain encounter and you hit your head pretty badly. Don’t worry, we fixed most of the damage. Though you may experience some intense headaches. That is normal. You also have some intense bruising but no broken bones.” She moves to the end of his bed and grabs his chart, flipping some of the pages. “Now, I do have some questions I need you to answer. What is your name, hun?”
“Uh, Kaminari Denki,” he rasps.
“Good. What year is it?”
“It’s, uh, 2030.”
“Hmm,” she scratches something on the page. “Okay, and how old are you, Kaminari?”
Denki’s head is pounding, but he forces the pain down. He is good at ignoring pain. “I’m sixteen.”
