Summary
The Supreme Archangel Aziraphale was standing in his London flat.
It has been one year to the minute since that moment when Aziraphale stepped into the lift to Heaven with Metatron. Crowley had neither heard of him nor saw him since then. The first three months were rough. He could say they were as bad as when he got cast out from Heaven, but in reality, they felt worse. That time, in Heaven, he didn’t feel that he did anything wrong. He didn’t beg to be forgiven, he didn’t plead to stay. It hurt, and it burned, but he was far too angry at first to feel his suffering. Far too busy afterward carving out his independence from Hell. And then he saw Aziraphale at the Eastern Gate, and the rest is history of the last 6 millennia.

Summary

Summary
Aziraphale had looked at him so helplessly, so brokenly, but he had nodded, pursing his trembling lips together and then parting them again as he sank to his knees before Crowley just as the demon had done for him, both entirely out of their own violation and desires and wants and needs - and that was that.
(There is something so delectably awful, Crowley had thought once, about giving into desire, but denying yourself the one part of it that you want the most, now isn’t there?)
Don’t kiss me, he said, he repeated over and over and over not as a reminder for Aziraphale but for himself - because if he didn’t, he would not be able to find comfort in the feeling of Aziraphale’s touch, and he needed that, just as much as the angel needed his.
Crowley and Aziraphale figure that if things are already going to shit, surely they can't make it worse by giving in to each others' temptation. (Or: a lot of smut. Some of it very emotionally visceral and angry, at least on Crowley's part, and a purposeful lack of kissing, because that would just hurt too badly, now wouldn't it?)

Summary
After the Second Coming’s come and gone, Crowley moves to the South Downs. Aziraphale stays in London. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t come to visit.
Or, Aziraphale’s his own angel, now. He just has to learn what that means.
When Crowley wakes up again, two weeks later, Aziraphale knows. He can feel it tugging at the edges of his essence. No, it’s going straight through him, like oil dropped in water. On the human level, he can feel it in his chest, a tight, hot thing. He stops in the middle of rearranging the cooking books, holding Cabbage the Athenian Way in one hand. Once he determines Crowley’s not going back to sleep, he reshelves the book, walks back to his desk, and sits himself down. He waits until a decorous amount of time passes, and then he calls Crowley.
Crowley picks up on the second ring. Strange; he’s never had to wait that long before.Bookmarked by tugatmyheartstrings
