    Summary

“You are not currently dead. But one day you will be, as will I. And when your time comes, it will be before mine.”

This is the truth, yes. Flins states it with such candor that Varka strangely finds himself wanting to laugh. How long is a typical lifespan in the eyes of a fae who can stretch the embers of his flames to a period that can only be described as a hair’s breadth away from eternity?

For Flins, how much of the candle burns between the words not yet and now?

Varka begins to notice Flins’s growing collection of specific items.

    Summary

By the time they returned to the city proper, Flins was shaking in his lantern, ready to escape. It was only as Varka returned to his private room at headquarters that the fae changed his form and appeared before the beast.

“There you are,” Varka rumbled, a wolfish smile tugging at his lips.

“Here I am,” Flins smiled back, bowing his head a little.

“You’ve traveled far, little fae. Searching for something in particular?”

    “You.”

Varka’s smile widened and dimples appeared on his cheeks. His tail wagged, giving away his happiness and excitement. It was… cute.

“And what do you plan to do with me now that you’ve sought me out?”

Flins cocks his head to the side, pondering. His eyes rake over the werewolf’s form – his furry chest stretched over thick muscles, pointed ears that flick with each passing sound, the bulge in his pants. Flins licked his lips, gaze zeroing in on exactly what he wanted.

    Summary

Aventurine is under a lot of stress lately – working late hours is definitely not good for his well-being. Thankfully he has a new set of lingerie and two boyfriends who can help him get a bit of well-deserved rest by blowing off some steam.

Or: Boothill and Ratio treat Aventurine like a pillow princess should be treated, not letting him do anything during sex… which isn’t something Aventurine is used to, usually taking the initiative and being more of a power bottom. He protests a bit, not really confident if it’s fair, but his dear cowboy and lovely Doctor are not interested in negotiations.

    Summary

Ratio had once called him a peacock, but Aventurine thinks that’s only half true. They’re too passive in all but their feathers, and Aventurine certainly did more than merely dance. Rather, he found his own preening presence more akin to some unnatural hybrid— partly peacock, partly vulture. His feathers may be pretty, but he has always been an ill omen. Despite his glimmering visage, he still subsided on carrion.

And anyway, birds were so much harder to tell apart after they’ve been plucked of their feathers.

“Seems like I’ll need to remind you how I do things if our cooperation is to remain amicable,” Aventurine says with a smile.
