Summary
It is often proposed that the appearance of a crow is an omen of bad luck, just as seeing five is considered a sign of sickness to come.
Danny Fenton, of course, paid it no mind when a flock of crows landed on the sidewalk ahead of him as he was walking to school. If he had, he would have noted that there were six crows on the path ahead of him. This number is just as significant as one or three crows, as it too marked a bad omen for whoever stumbled across the flock of this size.
Dear reader, it may benefit you to know that in some cases, six crows meant luck. It may also benefit you to know that this is not the path of fortune laid out for Danny Fenton. No, this omen is more akin to the interpretation of six crows foretelling an impending death. Even more accurately, these crows should be interpreted as a symbol of sacrifice bringing great change.

Summary
“You missed your payment, again.” His mother sighed at the landlord’s words.
“I’m working on it. I’ll have it to you soon.”
“Soon isn’t good enough. I need a date. Three months’ rent in two weeks. Don’t be late”
“Three months’? That’s more than I make in three weeks combined!”
“I don’t care how you pay it, jewelry, furniture, cash, just get it to me.”
The door closed again.
His mother shifted to the kitchen and Jason heard her grab her pill bottle.
Jason knew, somehow, he had to help with the rent. Of course, no one would hire an eleven-year-old to do a decent job, and he didn’t want to get involved in any hardcore gangs.
His only option was to steal something.

Summary
Shang’s eyes went wide as he followed the arrow’s trajectory to the fifty-foot pole in the center of the camp. A tired but satisfied Ping grinned down at the men from his perch at the top, Strength and Discipline draped casually over his shoulder.
As he registered the sound of cheers, something warm blossomed in Shang’s chest. He had no idea what to make of it.
Or, Li Shang is pure of ass, dumb of heart, and very bisexual.

Summary
Chris has always known this whole ‘perfect alternate universe’ thing was going to blow up in his face. Thing is, he’d always sort of assumed it’d come about because someone would find him out – there’d be some sort of missing birth mark or a gotcha memory or maybe his ARGUS would figure out the door code and somehow follow him out here, start a war, cause their universes to collide and implode or some shit. Or maybe it’d be something more lowkey – like all the music sucked, or zoodles weren’t a thing, or eagles were banned, or some shit.
He never figured it’d be on him to blow shit up. He’s also pretty sure no one could have seen this one coming.

Summary
“He took it real hard, Chris. When you stepped through the door and tried to leave us forever, he was heartbroken, man. And I mean it. Heartbroken.” Her head bobbed with the last word, her eyes comically wide as if she was trying to mentally channel knowledge into Chris’ thick skull.
It did not work. “I doubt it.” Chris laughed, feeling the back of his neck break into sweat. “He doesn’t function like that. He’s a fucking machine.”
“He’s definitely something,” Ads said. “But he was sobbing. Ugly sobbing, into my neck. Like, torrential. He had a lot of shit bottled up.”
“Adrian doesn’t cry.”
“He does now,” Ads said. “Over you."
-----
Adrian hadn't called. He hadn't texted. Not since Chris had got back in one piece from the other dimension. And all Chris could think about, after Ads had brought it up, was that he'd made him cry.

Summary
Merlin had failed. Despite all his efforts, Arthur had ended up dead in his arms on the shores of Avalon, so close to salvation. Surely, this could not be how their shared destiny was supposed to end? No, it was all Merlin’s fault—he had made all the wrong choices, misinterpreting prophecy after prophecy. If only he could go back and try again, now that he knew better, maybe he could right his wrongs. Maybe he— Oh. Maybe he could go back…
Ignoring Kilgharrah’s protests about the impossibility of what he aimed to do, Merlin let all his power loose, becoming one with the fabric of the world and the magic he was born of. After following the bond he shared with Arthur through the winding paths of time, he finally emerged a decade into the past, having successfully seized a second chance to get this whole destiny thing right. Unfortunately, he would have to win Arthur’s trust all over again, seeing as Merlin was alone in remembering anything of the future he was hoping to change. Or…was he?
