Summary
Severus Snape has a series of petty feuds with his colleagues, casual sex with the werewolf to whom he is subletting, semi-regular Sunday brunches with fascists, a bar tab he may never settle, and the reluctant custody of Shetland pony which his small yard on Spinner's End is not zoned to stable. This seems well enough in terms of standing commit for any twenty-something to have to contend -
That is, until he and Remus Lupin are bullied into fostering two screaming toddlers because of some form of blood magic forced upon the pair. Or because of the ‘Greater Good’ his boss is constantly banging on about. Or, as the put-out Potions Master rather more suspects, because a witch with no such idealistic aspirations happened to be having a particularly bad day when she by chance met the Boy Who Lived.
Can the young couple possibly survive this particular ‘happily ever after’?
(Or, a bog-standard Snupin raise Harry thing, but in Cokeworth, and Dudley is there, too.)

Summary
Despite her misgivings, Cissy Black agrees to faking a holiday romance with her housemate Frank Longbottom when they discover they will both be spending Christmas in the same small town.
Frank’s mother Augusta, however, is not falling for it. At least, she is not going down without a fight. In a last-ditch effort to convince her only son to move back home after university, she’s planned a Hallmark-worthy holiday romance with a lovely local lass whose country charms can surely counter those of some uppity academic from a prominent London-based family.
Cissy’s family, meanwhile, is furious at finding one of their own dismissed in favour of a made-for-TV-movie script. They conspire to sabotage Augusta’s best-laid plans, and, with them, the various holiday festivities Godric’s Hollow has on offer.
Embarrassing as this all otherwise is, trouble really starts when Cissy realises that she’s falling for reluctant local baker Alice Fortescue, who is every bit as perfect as Augusta made her out to be.
