Summary
The music is loud, and it’s mostly just a sea of sweat and a crush of bodies on the dance floor. The people there look at Mingyu like they want him, the lingering stares, the open admiration. And it’s starting to piss Minghao off.
He wants to march over, grab Mingyu, and pull him away from everyone, but he can’t. Because they aren't exclusive. They aren't even official. He has no claim to the man. He puts the barely touched bottle of beer down on the kitchen counter, finding that jealousy is a lot bitter than the drink, anyway.

“Well, I wanted you to hear it from me first.” Mingyu is speaking, and there comes another gut feeling. “It’s official now. I got my enlistment notice today.”
There’s a buzzing going through Minghao’s entire being. It knocks the gravity in him, and makes him lock his knees. The wall just barely protected him from falling. He grips his phone with one hand, and puts a palm against his flat belly.
He’s holding two lives in his hands, one is growing beneath his hand, while the other is merely a voice in his ears–both things he can’t get control of. His world is spinning as it changes, so fast, not giving Minghao time to brace for impact.
