Summary
In the summer, in a house surrounded by perfumes and delicate aromas, Agatha, a sarcastic student running from a broken heart, meets Rio – an heiress who prefers flowers to feelings and is too quiet to express what she feels. Summary
Agatha couldn’t move. It was her, she was sure of it—the dancer from the club, on the night of the last day of school. A stripper was standing in her classroom, addressing her second-graders. A stripper who, until this very moment, had been filed neatly into the category of things Agatha would never think about again. (Except that one time, when she got too drunk on the Fourth of July. And that other time, when she got too drunk on the Seventh of July, which was just a normal Tuesday.) And yet here she was, in practical jeans and a black tee, looking every inch like a competent professional.

“So you’re fucking suing me? My company? Where the hell do you get off?” Agatha spits, her voice raising.
Rio’s expression doesn’t change. “I’m not the one suing you. The organization is.”

Rio arches a brow. “It’s not personal.”
“Oh, please- everything with you is personal.”OR

Summary
As she began reading the list of names, none of them surprised her—aunts, uncles, and grandparents all jotted down. Until one name almost made her spit out the coffee she’d just sipped.
Agatha Harkness.
Rio hadn’t seen Agatha in ten years. Well, really seen her.
She’d seen the woman around town when she was home visiting, for birthdays or holidays. Rio remembers just last Christmas, her mother had sent her to the grocery store to run a few errands. She’d been at the opposite end of the spices aisle when she caught a glimpse of that long, wavy, messy brown hair that she desperately wanted to grab and-
No. Not the point.
Plus, after catching just a mere glimpse of Agatha, she’d literally scurried away faster than a knife fight in a phone booth.
But she hadn’t seen her.
Hadn’t been around her.

Summary
Agatha doesn’t ask why she’s here. She doesn’t have to. The implosion of their lives had the unfortunate side effect of leaving them buried under one another’s skin like forgotten bits of shrapnel, too deep now to ever try and extract.

Summary
"Now, she knows every single way to follow orders and still piss her mother off at the same time. It works most of the time, but not recently.
That would be because of her.
Her being one insanely annoying and endlessly infuriating Rio Vidal.
She's sarcastic and snappy, says things with little thought and thinks every conversation gets to be a sparring match. Her silver tongue is never commendable, even if she thinks it is. She thinks she's smart, thinks she's clever, but she's not.
Rio is just arrogant. And petulant.
Did Agatha mention she's annoying, too?"
OR: Agatha's a Mafia princess and is forced to work with talented art forger Rio. Hate Sex ensues.
