Day 31: I hate to see you hurt like this
Devastating burns covered Mu Qing’s legs and hands. He was bedridden and unable to walk without pain shooting down his limbs. While his cultivation sped up the healing process of his burn wounds, they hadn’t gone away completely. They had barely started healing at all.
Every day, during the three months after everything unraveled, Feng Xin visited Mu Qing. His junior officials warned him against his decision, knowing the destruction they caused together, but Feng Xin ignored them. Though it took him centuries to realize it, he cared for Mu Qing. He wasn’t going to leave him to deal with his wounds alone.
