Summary
Endeavor, the number one hero, is dead, and nobody besides the League of Villains knows it’s Hawks’ fault. Grappling with the death of his childhood hero at his own hands, Hawks spirals. At the same time, Dabi's reason to live and die is wrenched out of his grasp cold turkey. Hawks finds himself more and more disillusioned with his way of life. This can't be heroism, can it? Twice, the man he's sent here to kill due to being a 'national security threat,' likes gossiping and girl's nights and calls him a friend. He finds himself caring beyond his purview about Toga, who's just a kid and caught in a spiral of her own. He desperately claws to save Dabi from himself when their entanglement reveals ugly truths and rising feelings. When he finds his bonds shifting in strange new ways, he has to deal with all the cruelty in the world in order to push the ones he cares for out of the darkness. Because no matter how many times the hero Hawks is eviscerated, he always chooses hope. It's what Keigo would have wanted.

Summary
When Bakugou Katsuki dies during the war, Edgeshot curses him with the worst thing of all: resurrection. He wakes in a broken body, a hero who consumed himself without a second thought beating in place of his heart. Not only did Katsuki fail to get back up and fight after the sacrifice of Edgeshot's life, Izuku had to deal with the rest of the battle on his own, losing both his arms in the process and barely saving All Might. Now, despite the 'blessing' he's been given, Katsuki can't stop dreaming about death. When he's given the green light to leave the hospital and go back to studying at UA a month later, he takes it without a second thought: UA is all he has left. However, this arrangement comes with caveats. Unable to do things the way he used to, he has to either agree to a volunteering peer 'caretaker' watching over him just in case or return back to his parents' place (where he'll inevitably be smothered). Having resigned himself to going back home, he's blindsided to hear that someone actually VOLUNTEERED to get yelled at by him. His only thought at that moment: what the actual FUCK is wrong with them?
