    Summary

“Go back to sleep, baby. Too early.”

The flood of sticky-sweet affection that courses through him tingles all the way in his fingers and toes. In their shared vernacular of nonsense words and teasing jabs, there is almost nothing so precious and intimate between them as that endearment. It’s rare from Dan these days in a way it wasn’t in the beginning, largely because he has grown and matured and with him the way he expresses affection, but it takes him straight back to 2009 every time.

“Well, what did your hot model ex want? Did he call me crazy again?”

“Actually, sort of?” Phil fought with himself and lost, a little giggle escaping him at the sight of Dan’s expression. “He asked if you had proposed to me already. Said, if it was him, he’d have locked me down already.”

Dan stared at him with uncharacteristic silence.

“I know what you’re doing, Lester.”

Phil tries to ragebait Dan into proposing.

    Summary

Alex Claremont-Diaz is arguably the most skilled pediatric trauma surgeon Henry has ever worked with.

He’s also kind to their patients. Henry’s seen him squeeze a child’s hand while wheeling the bed off to pre-op, or kneel on the floor next to the family after a long and futile resuscitation. He’s always respectful toward Henry’s team, and he always returns to debrief with them after he’s through with each case in the OR.

And now Alex is here, standing in front of Henry’s workstation, in a pair of salmon scrubs that look tailor-made for his body, somehow. It’s really rather obscene, the fabric hugging his chest just-so, the deep vee, the faint hint of dark hair, and it’s all quite a lot, frankly, for Henry to be faced with at half-three in the morning.

“Dr. Claremont-Diaz,” says Henry, making a point to barely glance up from his computer. “I wasn’t aware we had a trauma coming.”

“We don’t,” shrugs Alex. “I was just bored.”

    Summary

When Alex lands a job house-sitting for an international man of mystery, he’s more than a little intrigued. According to Nora, the owner of the Brooklyn brownstone is a spy. According to June, he’s a prince. Alex is convinced his employer is a fifty-year-old man who loves tartan and ugly, porcelain homewares.

Also, Alex might be flirting with his boss via a handwritten grocery list. Just a little bit.
