The raider, Jabber, that Zanka had been calling his boyfriend for the past two years. By now, they’ve developed a routine. Fight during the day and stick to the cleaner versus raider shtick, and love and act couple-ly in the evening and night hours.
OR: Zanka needs to find a way to tell his comrades that he's been dating a raider.

Summary
One month ago, Zanka experienced one of the most terrifying and humiliating days of his life. And somehow, the worst thing that had come from it was being grounded by Enjin.
Now, a month later, Zanka was freshly ungrounded, and on his way to see Jabber Wonger. And this time, the Cleaners were letting him.
With all of that out of the way, Zanka has a new top concern. What was going to happen next in this strange relationship he'd found himself in? What if it wasn't what he wanted? He had no idea what to expect now, and it was worrying to think about.
But being suddenly confronted with a reminder of his past with his family? There was no way that could turn out well.

Summary
When Riyo had found out that Zanka had a boyfriend, she'd done her best to be supportive.
She just didn't expect the guy to end up being Jabber fucking Wonger.
At least she wasn't the only one caught off guard. After some negotiations, Zanka is grounded, forbidden from seeing Jabber for a whole month. Which goes about as well as one would expect it too. Meaning that it'd failed horribly.
But that was the least of Riyo's worries. Really, her main concern was figuring out how to handle this whole thing- what she was supposed to do, how she was supposed to react, she had nothing. She was missing way too much information, and it was really starting to bug her. For one, she has no idea what Jabber's actual intentions are with all this. And how could she know, when there seemed to be such a big gap between the Jabber she knew of and the one that Zanka apparently knew?
So when Jabber randomly shows up at her window, asking for advice, Riyo sees it for the golden opportunity that it is.
She'd get her information, keeping her guard up the whole time, and be right back where she wanted to be. Easy.
(Spoiler Alert: It ends up being a bit more complicated than that.)

Zanka's getting real sick of Jabber having the upper hand. No matter the occasion, no matter what area, the Raider always seemed to be one step ahead. And it seemed like it was going to stay that way.
At least, until a strange encounter reveals one of Jabber's potential weaknesses. Gentle affection.
This was Zanka's chance. He could finally get one over on Jabber. If it weren't for one tiny problem. Zanka's own weakness: these strange, soft feelings he's been having for Jabber.
But it's fine. All he has to do is suppress them, squish them down. Out of sight, out of mind. He was going to get a win against Jabber, a win that counted.
You see, in spite of everything, Zanka hasn't exactly learned to stop being arrogant.
It'd be fine. He can do this. Jabber won't ever have to know about these feelings.

Jabber had a good handle on things. He knew what he wanted. He knew how to get it. And recently, he knew what Zanka wanted. And he knew that he really wanted him to accomplish that (beating the hell outta Jabber). So when he wants to see Zanka laughing his head off without a care in the world, he decides the new toxin he's come across is perfect for their next fight.
But that's not exactly how it happens. Because Jabber Wonger is a scientist that doesn't like to follow all the rules.
And when the consequence of that ends up being him having to trip sit a very clingy, overly affectionate Zanka?
Well, he's not gonna regret it now.
This is not gonna permenantely affect him at all. He'll be fine. He can handle it.
