“Now, for our first tribute,” she drawls, taking a slip of paper gingerly from the pile, and opening it. She pauses for dramatic effect, and opens her mouth.
“Angela Ziegler.”
The doctor’s daughter. There’s a few gasps and whispers amongst the audience, and I see a head of sun-colored hair, also combed into a ponytail. Her hair is much shorter than mine, and she has brushed her bangs to mostly one side. It looks nice on her. Her blue eyes are filled with fear I can see from here, alabaster skin pale with shock, but she walks steadily to the platform and up the stairs, making her way behind Symmetra with her jaw clenched and an indiscernible frown. I quash the hot flash of disdain in my chest, instead opting to ignore the fact that she will most certainly perish in the arena.
