Thinking that there was a story at the new circus in town, Alastor is forced to attend a show by his boss. However, being the reporter that he is, he manages to sneak his way into the back of the circus and stumbles upon the newest attraction that has everyone in his city buzzing with excitement. However, what he had assumed to be nothing more than a scam, is actually quite the opposite.
Who knew that mermaids actually existed?

“My name. It’s Husk,” the cat, Husk said while he still had his back towards Angel. “And feel free to come up here and watch me while I make you that drink.” He then looked back at him with a slight smile on his face, “I won’t bite.”
“But I might,” Angel breathed out without even realizing it.

Summary
Husk gets thrown into the past and decides he is going to do things right this time. That meant keeping his title and soul and making sure a few others keep their souls as well. He may be too sober to get through it, but he was going to fucking try.
This is my own take on the Overlord Husk au idea from (twitter @) supercellalpaca's comic. Thrown in with a little time travel to make things better. I just want to see my boys end up happy together.
