“Techno,” Wilbur said.
He looked tiny next to the fully grown piglin brute. His eyes were wide beneath his brown hair, and they brimmed with questions in the way that only small children could. “Are you my dad?”
Techno choked on his drink, coughing and spluttering. His eyes flicked up to Phil, searching for a saviour. Phil was far too busy cackling to give Techno even the slightest hint of a reprieve.

The door code is 1944.
Max had asked, once, why, and Lewis had looked at him like it was the stupidest question he’d ever heard and said, Jackie Robinson, and that was that. Max had gone home and googled it and felt something warm and stupid settle in his chest that he’d been trying to dislodge ever since.
He punches it in now, listens to the soft click of the lock giving way, and steps inside.

Summary
“You want to try saying that again?”
It wasn’t aggressive but it was just enough to remind Dream that the man in front of him was still an infamous villain built like a tank.
Dream opened his mouth but nothing came out.
Technoblade waited.
“Go on,” the villain said. “Tell me I can’t stay.”
Dream stared at him.
Then he grumbled, “You can stay.”
Technoblade nodded, satisfied. “Good choice.”
OR
Dream runs a quiet plant shop in the middle of a city constantly wrecked by heroes and villains. His only power is a strange "system" that gives him the most random information about the world around him.
It's mostly useless.
Until one morning when it informs him that a dying supervillain is bleeding out on his shop floor.
Instead of turning away, Dream saved one of the most dangerous villains in the city... But that same villain didn't want to leave just yet.
All Dream wanted was to sell plants.
Now he's harboring the most dangerous villain.
Can it get any worse? Most likely it will.

Summary
Dream released his palm. Some of the pain in Phil’s hand lessened. Dream’s fingers were dripping red with blood, and his expression was somewhere on the edge of dread. “Techno!” he shouted, his voice cracking, and the unexpectedly raised tone made Phi jerk back a bit. “Techno!”
There was a muffled bang, a voice from somewhere above them, and then thundering footsteps, before Techno burst into the room, sword in hand, glasses askew.
“Heh? What’s — what’s goin’ on?” Techno demanded, turning in a hurried circle before focusing in on Dream. “What’s wrong?”
“Phil’s reacting to my pain,” Dream said flatly.

“Techno asked me to make sure you didn’t run off or get killed while he hibernated,” Phil said lightly, tossing another log into the fire. “So, here we are.”
Dream exhaled. He was braced against the doorway, and even from several paces away Phil could see him shaking. “Why do you care?”
“I don’t,” Phil said, pulling himself upright again and refolding his wings behind him. “Let’s make that very, very clear: I do not care about you. But I do care about Techno, and he wanted me to make sure you’d still be here when he woke up. So — did you eat something today?”
