Summary
“Let’s put it this way, then; if you can’t offer answers, what can you offer that’ll be enough of a reason for me not to blow your brains out right now?” Orpheus emphasised the question with a slight playful tap of the gun’s barrel against the other’s head.
Frederick swallowed hard. And perhaps, he swallowed his pride alongside the saliva, as he took another breath to steady himself, kept his head down but lifted his gaze to meet Orpheus’ through long white lashes, and in a soft voice that was many things but certainly not hesitant, he made a proposition that implied a very specific kind of deal. “I can offer… other things.”

Summary
The weeping clown would slaughter as many spiders as it takes. He’d tear their scrawny little legs to build cathedrals, palaces and a throne out of them if it made Natalie happy. He’d decorate the opulence with chandeliers of their thousands of beady little eyes and gold. Each one would be a testament to his devotion for her, a sacrifice at the altar of her glory. Joker would toil day and night, if Natalie would spare a glance towards his creations, and smile; either at his foolishness or at his earnestness.
